Updated: Oct 28, 2019

ROSEMONT, Ill. — The Big Ten Conference announced the 2018 Big Ten Men’s Soccer Tournament bracket Sunday, with Indiana earning the No. 1 seed after clinching the outright Big Ten Championship on Wednesday. The Big Ten Tournament’s first-round game will be played on Saturday with the quarterfinal games coming on Nov. 4.

As the No. 1 seed, Indiana (15-2-0, 8-0-0 Big Ten) will host the first round game between No. 8 Northwestern (5-8-5, 0-5-3 Big Ten) and No. 9 Ohio State (1-14-2, 0-7-1 Big Ten) at 1 p.m. Eastern time Saturday. Northwestern and Ohio State finished in a 0-0 double-overtime draw on Sept. 21 in Columbus, Ohio.

The Hoosiers will play the winner of the first round game the following day (Nov. 4) at 4 p.m. ET, with that quarterfinal televised live on BTN and is also available on BTN2GO and the FOX Sports app. Indiana earned a 2-1 win over Northwestern on Sept. 26 and a 1-0 win against Ohio State on Oct. 24.

Wisconsin earned the No. 2 seed (9-5-2, 6-2-0 Big Ten) with its 1-0 double-overtime win against Ohio State on Sunday. The Badgers will play host to No. 7 Rutgers (4-12-1, 2-6-0 Big Ten) at 1 p.m. ET Nov. 4. Wisconsin earned the 4-2 victory over the Scarlet Knights on Oct. 7 when the two competed in league play.

Michigan (10-4-2, 4-2-2 Big Ten) and Michigan State (10-3-4, 4-2-2 Big Ten) tied in the league standings with 14 points, but Michigan earned the No. 3 seed due to a better goal differential during conference play. The Wolverines, who will host No. 6 Penn State (6-8-2, 3-3-2 Big Ten) on Nov. 4 (time TBA), played the Nittany Lions to a 1-1 double-overtime draw back on Sept. 21.

Rounding out the bracket, No. 4 Michigan State will welcome No. 5 Maryland (7-6-3, 4-4-0, Big Ten) for their quarterfinal matchup at 1 p.m. ET on Nov. 4 in East Lansing, Michigan. The Spartans earned a 2-0 victory at Maryland back on Oct. 5.

After the quarterfinals, the tournament will continue on Nov. 9 at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana with the semifinals at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. ET. The championship game kicks off at noon (ET) on Nov. 11. Both semifinal contests and the championship game will be televised live on BTN and can also be streamed on BTN2Go and through the FOX Sports app.
